Governance

Restorative Justice Aotearoa is governed by an Executive Committee convened by a Chairperson. Nominations to these positions are ratified at the annual AGM.

Representation

The Executive Committee is composed of representatives from member groups delivering services in 5 geographical regions in New Zealand plus 3 representatives from Maori member groups.

The Chairperson, is nominated from within the Executive. 

 

 

Executive Meetings

All day Face-to-Face meetings are held two or three times during the year and immediately preceding each AGM . Teleconferences are held each intervening month, usually on the first Friday of each month.

Julia Hennessy

Julia has been a practicing social worker / and social work senior Manager in the area of children
and families for over twenty years. She has led projects in the UK introducing Family Group
Conference and Restorative Justice practices into mainstream service delivery. Julia has spoken
and trained world-wide on these practices. She has contributed to resources being published in
these areas.
