Membership
Membership Categories:
Restorative Justice Aotearoa has three categories of membership, 'Full' & ‘Interim’ Membership for service providers and ‘Associate Membership’ for individuals who have an interest in restorative justice. Practice Standards for Full Membership have been developed and Interim Members can now opt to undertake the Full Membership Accreditation process
Full Membership:
A 'Full' Member is a group or organisation who has been 'assessed' as meeting RJA's Practice Standards and Constitutional requirements. Application to be accepted as a Full Member is currently restricted to RJA's Interim Member groups. The process and associated costs are being finalised.

Interim Membership:
Restorative justice and / or restorative practices provider groups can apply to become Interim Members if their legal structure meets criteria outlined in RJA’s Constitution. Their Standards of practice have not been assessed by RJA.
Associate Membership:
Individuals or groups with an interest in restorative justice can apply to become Associate Members.

Membership Subscriptions:
Subscriptions are for a twelve month term from1st July to 30th June the following year.
Interim Membership fee: $50 plus GST per annum.
Associate Membership fee: $30 plus GST per annum.

RJA provides the following services to Members
Regular updates and provides information from the Executive to the member groups via the 'Executive Express' newsletter
Represents member groups interests to key decision makers as required.
Proactively represents issues of restorative justice to government policy makers and in the media on behalf of member agencies.
Co-ordinates the development of resources for member group
Organises and facilitates the AGM and regular RJ conferences
Co-ordinates an annual Hui Maori and periodic Managers Forums
Liaises with and responds to the media
Informs and educates the public about restorative justice and promote its use
Provides or identifies appropriate training resources
Supports the development of existing and new provider groups
Provides a complaints process for complaints about a groups complaints procedures
Provides an opportunity for individual practitioners to liaise with each other through a web based bulletin board
