What is Restorative Justice
It is a voluntary process in which those affected by wrongdoing are brought together to hear each other and acknowledge the harm done, to identify needs and obligations, and to decide how to deal with these.

Whilst Restorative Justice Aotearoa's main focus to date is related to restorative justice in the adult criminal justice system in New Zealand, we are expanding our role and information provided via this website to include other arenas where restorative justice is practised, including restorative justice in the education system.
