Organisation Profile: Nelson Restorative Justice Services is a Charitable Trust set up by the Nelson community to bring restorative justice to their community. The Crime Prevention Unit of The Ministry of Justice is the main funder. Our geographical area covers the Top of The South from Rai Valley to Murchison to Golden Bay including Nelson City, Richmond and Motueka Towns. We run Pre-sentence and Community Diversion conferences, both processes use a facilitator and two community panel members. Members of the organization are; Seven members of Board of Trustees, 26 Volunteer Community Panel Members, Coordinator-Mark Rutledge and Administrative Assistant-Di Fleming.
