Organisation Profile: 'Turnaround Ashburton' started as a Ministry of Justice project six years ago. It has grown and evolved in this time to become very successful for ensuring that victims of crime are compensated for their stress or loss. The process enhances healing for victims of crime and allows them to become empowered in the judicial processes. Victims are the key element in "putting things right" and for restoring the balance between right and wrong within the communities within which they live. The Coordiantor for Turnaround Ashburton is Kevin McMahon, he has been in the post since April 2007 and is an ex British Police Officer. He is passionate about the Restorative Justice process and looks forward to progresssing Turnaround Ashburton, so that it can continue to improve and evolve, enhancing the service it offers to victims of crime in the coming years.
