Organisation Profile: Philosophy: Mana Social Services Trust aspires to a peaceful community that shows compassion towards all people, especially children and recognizes the cultural aspirations of Maori. Background: The Trust was formed in July 1996 with an initial focus on providing quality counseling and social work services. This Kaupapa has seen our services increase to become a multi dimensional, innovative, Kaupapa Maori organisation that provides targeted, responsive interventions to assist and awhi people who find themselves in difficult situations. Today we offer a diverse range of counseling services inclusive of grief and loss, problem gambling, anger management, and varying forms of abuse. Other services include restorative justice facilitation for adults and children, mediation, non-mandated violence programmes for men, women and children, Police Diversion, Social Worker in Schools (SWIS), Awhi Whanau, which is a tailor made service unique to the needs of tamariki/whanau, and Parenting through Separation programme.
